Litus Hostel was built in 1916, and was the ex-summer school "Vittorio Emanuele." The location is quaint, right on the seafront in Ostia, only 25 km from the city center of Rome, close to the new port of Rome, and only a few miles from Rome's primary Airport; Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci), thus, is easily accessible with public transportation. Litus Hostel was completely renovated in 2006, and resides in a relaxing atmosphere entitling each guest with an enriching experience and comfortable stay.

The hostel hosts spacious rooms with private bath and a total of 140 beds. It offers competitive services in a modern and immaculate setting; breakfast, internet access, ping pong room, linens, lockers, luggage storage and private parking-are all free of charge. Daily maid services are available, with laundry facilities on the premises, and a reception on staff 24 hours a day for your convenience. In addition, the hostel offers films shown in their movie theatre, and a short distance to the famous archeological excavations of Ostia Antica. Directions are below.

By Airplane:

From 'Leonardo da Vinci' Airport in Fiumicino go to national arrivals terminal and take a public Cotral bus to OSTIA LIDO CENTRO. Distance about 4 miles. For buses information's click HERE. A taxi is also recommended (price would be euro 25,00 per car).

By car:

The Hostel can be reached in less than 10 minutes from the Airport and in about 30 minutes from the center of Rome by taking the ' Via del Mare'. The Grand Ring Road (G.R.A) is only a few kilometres away (Exit/Uscita 28). Close to the main Highways .

By public transportation:

From Termini Station take the subway, B Line, Laurentina direction . Get off at the eight station 'Magliana' and take the 'Roma-Lido' train (direction Cristoforo Colombo) until you get to the 'OSTIA LIDO CENTRO' stop. From here take the bus n.01 getting off at the 5th stop(Giuliano da Sangallo ). Please ask always to the driver for your stop! From the stop turn left onto first street (Via Visconti) and directly ahead you'll see a great yellow building with a large courtyard: we are there.
