We will decide together our daily excursions through the region, adapting to weather conditions. A number of short, full or half-day tours are planned and we will visit towns many tourists never see!
Highlights of this Italian photographic workshop include: Lake Bolsena with its 2 islands, San Gimignano and Siena, Montepulciano, Monte Amiata, Orvieto, Pienza, Viterbo, Arezzo, Spoleto, and Chianti. We will visit Etruscan cities like Tuscania, the nearby towns of Civita, Orbetello or the seaside.
Many of these lovely Italian towns are off the beaten path and often overlooked. Through the ancient history that gathers in every piazza, and in every voice speaking the beautiful Italian language, you will find a well-spring of ideas. Here you will have the opportunity to build on your existing skill level and techniques. With Pasquale's photographic expertise, you will learn how to master light and space and return home with great personal images of Italy. Iconic images, not mere picture postcards.
Pasquale's photography workshops are designed for the typical photography enthusiast, who may have a DSLR, and for whom using the major camera controls will be no mystery. Having a grasp of photo-technique and basic Photoshop image enhancement is not necessary, but will certainly be an advantage in making full use of the the workshop.
Pasquale has decades of experience in producing contemporary stock photography. His emphasis is not on teaching what you can gain from a textbook (digital workflow, Photoshop manipulation etc) but how to use time on location to the best effect. As your guide, Pasquale does not take you along the normal tourist trail, but utilizes his in-depth knowledge to reveal the hidden treasures and huge visual variety of the region.
The cost of the workshop is 1500 Euro, which includes all workshop fees plus seven nights of accommodation . The cost will also include transportation for the 8 days to nearby villages and sights, breakfast at your hotel, lunch and dinner each day. Alcoholic beverages are not included, however they are inexpensive in Italy.
NOTE: Price does not include airfare or transportation from Rome to Bolsena. If taking the train from Rome to nearby Orvieto or Montefiascone , we can provide provide transportation from either of those towns to your hotel!
