Andrea Nicosia: Content Manager, fiction writer, copywriter. Born in Rome, he works as a freelance communications consultant and learned the ropes by studying and working in Italy and Australia. As side projects, he manages a couple of websites dedicated to genre fiction and the new forms of story writing made available by the web 2.0. Andrea currently lives in Rome and spends his free time hunting for the perfect espresso and enjoying the Italian lifestyle.
Anna De Filippo: writer. Anna is from Caserta, in the South of Italy. She graduated in translation and languages. She speaks fluent English and Spanish and a bit of French and Indonesian. She has a great passion for English language and she has fostered it through writing articles, translating and teaching English. She likes travelling and getting in touch with foreign cultures. She decided to join Lifeintaly in order to let other people understand some aspects of Italian culture and life.
Carlotta Scarlata: Editor, content manager, subtitler and literary translator. Born in Rome, she has been working in the post production and publishing fields for 12 years, in Italy and in the US. Two years ago she branched out into the Web, working for several Italian websites as content manager and web marketeer. She also teaches English to “English impaired” Italians. Carlotta majored in Theatre and Music and likes writing, almost as a hobby, for online or paper fanzines and magazines devoted to both. At present she lives in Rome, where she spends her (far too short) spare time singing and enjoying her friends.
Connie Limoncelli : Writer, Editor. Connie is a freelance writer, editor and blogger who joined the LifeInItaly team in 2010. An avid traveler, Connie has a passion for food, design, and reading as many books as she can get her hands on. With a large part of her family still in Italy, this Italian-Canadian is fluent in the language and culture of the country that continues to hold a large part of her heart. Damyanti Ghosh: Writer and Editor. Damyanti speaks fluent Italian. She has an Honours in English, and is trained in design in general, fashion design in particular. She draws upon this knowledge in order to write and edit articles for Life in Italy, and has been doing so since 2005.
Elisa Bressan: Writer. Elisa graduated in political sciences at the University of Trieste. She worked for years in international environments and, following her passion for the English language, perfected her knowledge of Shakespeare's language attending courses in Washington DC and Singapore. She is now a collaborator of Life in Italy, helping foreigners who love Italy to better understand and communicate in Dante's language. Elisa knowns that understanding of a Country and its people pass through an understanding of its tounge, this is why she is writing a series of exercises to help foreigners grasp the basics of the complex and beautiful Italian language
Ewa Niemiec: linguist by education and tourism professional by choice, has recently moved from Warsaw, Poland to Milan, Italy to join all those who claim to have been Italians (or even Romans) in their previous lives. She manages a website devoted to study of bilingualism in its psychological and social aspects http://between-us-bilinguals.webs.com, inspired by her experience of travel, studies and work in a multilingual environment in the United States, England, Poland and Italy. Her new passion is wine growing and (alas!) wine tasting.
Born in England, and now living in Tuscany, Fay edits and writes articles for Life In Italy. Some years ago she had discovered a passion for writing stories for young people, often entering national competitions and has been pleased at receiving a Highly Commended Certificate and being short-listed. She’s still has a dream to be published! Since there’s a lack of squash courts around (and maybe age has something to do with it) she has been enthralled with exploring Italian towns and has now developed a love for writing about them! Glauco Ferrari: Writer. Born in Rome and dividing his life between Italy and the U.S., Glauco is an expert on Italian affairs and loves to share his knowledge and experience with a broader audience, using a conversational style. In the greater scheme of things, Glauco always believes that "if you fully understand Italy, then you can understand the deepest secrets of the world."
