To cover up the flaws it is important to wear clothing that would highlight the right assets to show off and play down the body part that takes away from perfect, balanced proportions. Most Italian men are experts at this, but for men to whom it does not come quite so naturally, read the dressing tricks that the experts use to cover up body male body flaws. Wear :

- un-cuffed trousers
- trousers with higher rise
- shorter suit jacket
- monochromatic clothing, e.g a suit
- jackets with higher button closure
- tapered trousers
- tucked in shirts
- big-buckled belts
- shorter t-shirts
- corduroy, or thin-striped pants

Dressing up don’ts

Do not wear:

- un-tucked shirts
- long sweaters or jackets
- low-rise pants
- prominent vertical stripes on top
- shirts with big prints

Dressing up Tips for Men with Long Legs: In this case, the length of the legs needs to be downplayed and the appearance of the torso lengthened in order to achieve the equal proportion from head to leg break, and leg break to toes.

Wear:

- trousers with cuffs
- trousers with a lower rise
- longer suit jacket
- separates, blazers and pants, for instance
- lower button closure on jackets
- longer sweaters and t-shirts

Do not wear:

- tucked-in shirts
- belts in similar shade of the pants
- high-rise jeans

- jacket sleeve till wrist bone, with only a quarter inch of shirt sleeve showing.
- custom shirts, so that the sleeves reach till the wrist bone, and are not shorter.

Do not wear:

- off-the-rack shirts, with sleeves that do not reach the wrist bone.

- off-the-rack shirts, with sleeves that are too long for the arm.

- wear suits with padded shoulders, to add volume to shoulders
- peaked notch lapels

Do not wear:

- sweatshirts or sportswear with raglan sleeves
- un-padded jackets
- silk shirts or shirts in any fabric that drapes the body
- round-neck or v-necked t-shirts
