About Us

Life in Italy: all you need to know about Italy : Life in Italy is dedicated to modern Italian life and culture - showcasing the Italy of today rather than focusing on Italy's past. Life in Italy is a place where expats, Italian-Americans, travelers or any Italophile can learn about the very latest from Italy.

Life in Italy was first a simple website just containing links to other Italian related websites. At the beginning of 2004 the founder decided to change the format and start collecting a series of Italy related articles.

Our Story: Life in Italy originally was only a website providing links to other Italian websites. The improvement of search engines made that function redundant and so we started adding articles and content. Some of the first content added to the site was provided by cartoonist Bruno Bozzetto, that attracted visitors.

From that point on we decided to add more and more content and to drop the Italian links. We added a news feed from ANSA in 2006. In 2008, we moved the website into a database since it was getting very hard to mantain and in October 2009 we upgraded the design. We are now cleaning up all the content by dropping old articles and adding new ones.
