The wide variety of banking services available nowadays forces us to learn useful vocabulary about banking operations and savings accounts, such as how to take out a loan and how to ask about the terms and conditions of the financial services offered.
There are many definitions of a bank: in general, we can define banks as financial institutions whose basic purpose is to receive deposits and grant loans. More precisely, banks hold clients’ money for safe-keeping in the form of deposits on which they pay a certain amount of interest.

You must be aged at least 18 and provide proof of identity, e.g. a passport, and your address in Italy. Before choosing a bank, it’s wise to compare the fees charged for international money transfers and other services, which can be high.
