Italian love phrases / love talk : Italian has to basic ways to show love :  Ti voglio bene - I care for you  mostly used for family members like brother sister    - In a couple relation the most important phrase is 'Ti amo' - I love you:  While in English however you can say I love pizza in Italian you do not say 'Io amo la pizza'  - That would actually mean that you felt in love with a pizza!
You can however say ti adoro ( I adore you ) and adoro il gelato alla cioccolata ( I adore chocolate ice-cream)
