NEW YORK – March 3 -- International singing sensation Cristina Fontanelli will appear at NYC’s Premiere Nightclub, Feinsteins at the Regency Hotel, 61st and Park Avenue, New York, NY. Following in the footsteps of great entertainers such as Michael Feinstein, Betty Buckley and Jackie Mason, Ms. Fontanelli will perform a one-hour show with a trio of musicians. Her musical selections will follow the “arc” of her career and will include Broadway favorites, international classic songs, standards and a “nod” toward her operatic vocal roots.

The highly acclaimed singer has performed with symphony orchestras (Boston Pops, St. Louis Symphony), opera companies (Palm Beach Opera, New York Grand Opera) and in concert halls around the world. She has recorded with platinum record winning producers (“Cristina Fontanelli Sings Great Italian Favorites”) and has sung at the Clinton White House, the Presidential Inaugural Ball in 2005 in Washington D.C., as well as appearances with Tony Bennett, Joel Grey and Vic Damone and 3 world-tours with the Mantovani Orchestra. She was awarded the OSIA Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts (previous recipient, Luciano Pavarotti) and has been named Woman of the Year by many Italian Organizations throughout the U.S. Ms. Fontanelli has also added acting for television and film. Ms. Fontanelli is scheduled for the upcoming Broadway show “The Family” (Arlene Violet, book; Enrico Garzilli, music) Fall 2009.
