Toddler dies after pulled from river outside Brescia

(ANSA) - Brescia, May 14 - A toddler died shortly after he was pulled with his mother from a river in northern Italy Tuesday.

Police said Ranjha Mohammed Jazib slipped into the Mella river outside Brescia in the town of Castelmella.

Officials said the 26-year-old mother, who had attempted to save him, was in critical condition.
