Singer Jimmy Fontana dies

(ANSA) - Rome, September 12 - Italian pop singer Jimmy Fontana, who scored big 1960s hits with Il Mondo and Che Sarà, died in Rome aged 78 Wednesday night.

Che Sarà was covered by Josè Feliciano in Italian, Spanish (Que Serà) and English (Shake a Hand).

Marche-born Fontana, who also starred in six '60s Elvis-style movies, was a regular on Italian TV until a recent illness.
