Suspect in custody for triple homicide outside Turin

(ANSA) - Turin, January 8 - A suspect was put in custody Tuesday for a triple homicide discovered near Turin on Sunday.

Police said Giorgio Palmieri, 56, confessed to stabbing to death Claudio Allione, 66, his wife Maria Angela Greggio, 65, and her mother Emilia Campo Dall'Orto, 93, on Friday in a robbery gone awry at their small villa in the town of Casele.

He has a police record and is flatmate of the family's former cleaning lady.

Police were pointed to Palmieri by the couple's son.
