SOCCER: RONALDINHO DENIES 'HOTEL FROLIC' REPORTS

(ANSA) - Milan, February 4 - AC Milan striker Ronaldinho on Thursday denied reports he had a three-day hotel frolic before Milan's derby defeat by Inter.

"The media are saying I had a 'mega-party' in the run-up to the derby and though it's true I was the guest of a Milan hotel I didn't organise the party and the details reported are not true," the Brazilian said on his website.

Referring to videos of him discoing, Ronaldinho said "I think it's unfair for people to use very old images and the fact that I've admitted I like music to make up a story about me and try to explain a negative result".

Inter won the derby 2-0 despite losing playmaker Wesley Sneijder to a 25th-minute red card, ending a Milan streak that had put them within striking distance of the champions.

Ronaldinho, who had shown flashes of his Barcelona form in previous games, had a poor match and missed a penalty.

Inter is now nine points ahead, although Milan have a game in hand.
