Anna Tours on the Riviera

Anna's Story

Anna was born in the beautiful ancient city of Palermo, on the magnificient island of Sicily. By the age of four Anna found herself travelling extensively with her parents, as if anticipating her future career. One of those trips brought Anna and her family to the United States and New York, where her father worked as an expat in a branch of an Italian company. Anna called New York home until the age of ten, but the encounter with the city that never sleeps left an indelible mark and Anna would make the Big Apple her second home.

Eventually Anna's parents decided to settle in Liguria. It was at this point that Anna decided to make Genoa, another fabled, ancient city, her home. Fairly early Anna realized the similarities between New York and Genoa, including the fact that both are port cities that are major centers of trade and commerce. In Anna's view Genoa and New York are also both beautiful cities that are hubs of innovation and culture. It didn't take long for Anna to fall in love with Genoa, a city that revealed her calling.

Anna soon realized that her extensive travel experiences and love of different cultures made her perfectly positioned to tell the story of Liguria and the Italian Riviera. Moreover, Anna knew that she would be a perfect Tourist Guide for those looking to travel and get to know Liguria intimately.

Anna's Credentials and Current Work

Based on her passion for different cultures, traditions and customs Anna obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Languages and Culture from the University of Genoa, as well as a Master Degree in Tourist Management and Marketing from the University of Milan. While studying Anna gained practical experience by working for various tourism-related companies and agencies, including events promoting Liguria. Anna is currently the editor of Liguria Bella-Beautiful Liguria a website and blog dedicated to everything there is to know and appreciate about Liguria. She is also collaborating on the section dedicated to the Italian Riviera for Life in Italy.
